Brain Auction is a multiplayer social party trivia game developed by GarageX. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

Information We Collect
2a. Account Information
The following information is required for account creation and gameplay:
- Email address — used for account creation and authentication
- Username — chosen by you as your display name visible to other players
- Password — securely hashed using industry-standard cryptographic methods; we never store plain text passwords
- Google account profile data (if using Google Sign-In) — your display name and profile photo URL

You can personalize your in-game profile with:
- Avatar emoji selection
- Avatar frame selection
- Profile customization preferences
2c. Gameplay Data
During gameplay, we collect data necessary for the game to function:
- Game room participation and room codes
- Bids placed during auction rounds
- Answers submitted to trivia questions
- Bluff submissions and votes in bluff rounds
- Round results and scores
- Win/loss statistics (total wins, total games played)
- Emoji reactions sent during gameplay

- Friends list — user-initiated friend connections only; we never auto-import contacts
2e. Local Device Data
The following data is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers:
- Sound enabled/disabled preference
- Vibration enabled/disabled preference
- Cached question categories for faster loading

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and maintain your account
- To enable multiplayer gameplay and real-time game synchronization

We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure for authentication, database storage, and real-time game synchronization. Supabase processes your account data and gameplay data on our behalf.
Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your display name and profile photo URL from Google. This is entirely optional — you can also create an account with email and password.
Google Fonts
This privacy policy page uses Google Fonts for typography. When you visit this page, your browser may connect to Google's servers to load font files.
Services we do NOT use:
✓ No Analytics SDKs We do not integrate Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or any crash reporting tools.
✓ No Advertising SDKs We do not integrate any advertising frameworks or ad networks.
✓ No In-App Purchase SDKs We do not integrate any in-app purchase or payment processing SDKs.
Data Storage & Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it:
- Cloud Infrastructure — Your data is stored on Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure with enterprise-grade security
- Password Hashing — Passwords are cryptographically hashed; we never have access to your plain text password
- Encryption in Transit — All data transmission between the app and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Secure Authentication — Authentication tokens are securely managed and regularly rotated
- Industry Standards — We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction

- Your gameplay data (username, avatar, scores) is visible to other players in the same game room — this is essential for multiplayer functionality
- Your username and avatar are visible to users who have you as a friend
- Data may be shared if required by law or to protect our legal rights
Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Update Your Profile — You can update your profile information (username, avatar, frame) at any time within the app
- Manage Friends — You can add or remove friends from your friends list at any time
- Authentication Choice — You can choose to sign in with email/password or Google Sign-In; the choice is yours
- Account Deletion — Contact us at garagex.dev@gmail.com to request complete deletion of your account and all associated data
- Data Portability — Contact us at garagex.dev@gmail.com to request a copy of your personal data
We will respond to all data requests within 30 days. For account deletion, all your personal data, gameplay history, and social connections will be permanently removed from our systems.
Children's Privacy
Brain Auction is designed for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16.
If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 16, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our servers.

Permissions
Brain Auction requests minimal permissions to function:
- Internet Access — Required for multiplayer gameplay, account authentication, and real-time game synchronization
We do NOT request access to: Camera, Microphone, Location, Contacts, Phone, Storage, or any other sensitive device permissions.
